There is 6 miles of shallow (3 ft.) river to get to the lake. The centerboard is clearly visible in the raised position. In this position it is still in the water as a keel, but is slightly above the depth of the hulls. We designed the boat to not only go into shallow water, but to be able to sail or motor in 18 in. depth.
