With the jib unfurled we slid onto port tack. The knotmeter (and GPS) were registering 4 knots in 5 knots true wind. The wake and turbulence were very slight - an indication that we got the shape right. For these tests the motors were fixed down on temporary mounts so we were dragging the props around. At higher speeds that will reduce performance by up to a knot. The motors will slide vertically on a track with gas cylinder assist when completed.
