This shot shows the beginning of a tack - the jib is luffing but the main is still driving. The rockered hull shape and single centerboard provide easy tacking - the boat spins quickly and carries its way through the turn well even in light winds. The nacelle and centerboard are clearly visible here.

Tests indicated that the boat tacked through 90 degrees even in light winds. However the VMG to windward was best at about 100 degrees as the boat pulls the apparent wind ahead when the wind is light. An apparent wind angle of about 35 degrees seemed optimum but we have some more rig tuning to do.
